How lovely it is to make this flower box cake in the middle of winter when everything else around is covered in snow. It sends reminders of the spring to come…and right now with all the shoveling and the cold stuff up to our knees, we need all the reminders we can get.
The inside of the cake was also made custom – the client requested her fave: chocolate chip cannoli cream in between layers of vanilla sponge.
Then we iced it in buttercream, panelled the box with fondant and added soft pink and white cream roses on top.
