Chandra and Brian exchanged vows at beautiful Crosswinds Golf and Country Club, surrounded by about 100 of their closest friends and family.
Chandra and Brian infused intimate touches throughout their wedding and highlighted their main scheme, baby pink rosettes and light blue hydrangeas, with their vintage decor.
Chandra had her heart set on a hand painted cake with accents of her floral choices.
How excited that made us! We love hand painted cakes, too!
We started with three tiers of dulce de leche buttercream wedding cake for the inside. And then we iced each tier in white fondant.
Then the fun started. Using edible food colour, we mixed the colouring to achieve the right tone of green. We then hand painted all of the vines and some of the leaves onto the tiers.
We accented the vines with handmade baby pink rosettes, handmade blue hydrangea blooms and a few handmade green leaves (all made of gumpaste), giving a the cake added dimension. We finished with a few buttercream hand-piped accents, adding to the texture of the cake.
On the centre tier, we incorporated their monogram, echoed from their wedding invitation.
We placed the finished wedding cake on a white pedestal stand at the venue.
We loved the finished cake: a beautiful, vintage-inspired cake with a soft colour palette and hand painted details that complemented the couple’s wedding theme.
Congratulations Chandra and Brian! We wish you an eternity of love and happiness in your newly married life.
